摘要
太平天国运动进入尾声之际,时任江苏巡抚的李鸿章杀死了向他投降的太平天国将领及其部众,并将苏州城洗劫一空,这次屠杀行为史称"苏州杀降事件"。此次杀降事件对太平天国、清王朝以及英国侵略者三方面产生了不同程度的影响,他们对这些影响做出了不同的反应。
At the end of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom,Li Hongzhang,governor of Jiangsu,killed the surrended officers and soldiers and ransacked Suzhou. This event is called ＂Slaughtering of the Surrended in Suzhou＂,which had varying influences on the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom,the Qing Dynasty and the British invaders respectively. The three sides reacted to this event differently.
