Research on the Different Things with the Same Name in Plant-naming of Ancient Chinese

古汉语植物名中的同名异实是常见的语言现象,《尔雅》、《说文》中更是大量地记载了草木虫鱼鸟兽同名异实之例。这一现象的产生有一定的规律:或状同形似,或颜色相近,或事理相类。古汉语植物名同名异实还表现出"同种同名"、"种属同名"、"同科同名"甚至"草木同名",这一现象的产生则与人们早期的分类认识有关。

The different things with the same name in plant-naming of ancient chinese is the usual linguistic phenomena.ERYA and SHUOWEN recorded a large number of examples about the animal-naming or plant-naming,i, e.that names are the same but represent different things.The apperance of the phenomena has a general law：the same shape,or the resembling apperance,or the close color, or the similar inner rule.The different things with the same name in plant-naming have other shows：two plants of the same species, the same genera, the same family in botany have the same name.The appearance of the phenomena is related to human＇s knowledge of catalogue during the early times.
