在上海孤岛时期,通俗话剧的演出异常繁盛,蕴含了许多值得研究的内容,但对孤岛通俗话剧演出的研究,至今还是空白。同时,孤岛通俗话剧演出资料也未得到系统的整理。资料的严重缺失,使得研究难以全面,更难以深入展开。

During the period of the ＂Isolated Island＂ Shanghai, the performances of popular modem drama thrived, and far exceeded those before and after the War against Japanese Aggression both in quantity of the script writing and the frequency of the performances. The special phenomenon provided a rich corpus of material for an unexplored field of research. The negligence is partly caused by lack of sorting of the materials.
