Objective:To investigate the relationship between the local immune condition of vagina and the pathogenesis of recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis.Mcthods:Objectives were divided into 2 gronps:vulvovaginal candidiasis group (VVC) and recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis group(RVVC).The lavage of the vagina, concentration of IgE and expression level of the IL-4 and IFN-γ were all measured by ELISA, and compared with normal controls. Results ①Concentration of IgE: the IgE concentration of RVVC group was higher than that of VVC and normal control group. There was significant difference among three groups (P〈0.05).②Level of Cytokine:The level of IL-4 and IFN-γ in VVC and RVVC group was significantly and respectively higher than that in normal controls (both P〈0.05); the level of IL-4 in RVVC group was higher than that in VVC group, while no significant difference in the level of IFN-γ between RVVC and VVC group was found (P〉0.05).Conclusion: The abnormality of local immune condition of vagina might participate in the pathogenesis and the recrudescence of vulvovaginal candidiasis.
