In this paper,the proceedings of 2nd international conference on quenching and the control of distortion were reviewed.The emphases are put on the cooling curve analysis,hardenability prediction,quenching methods,distortion,modeling microstructure and process,gas quenching,water gas and spray quenching.The recent research and development of the quenching technologies are also given.
