Personal rights of the author include right for publication, right for signiture, right for modification and right for the integrity of papers. Personal rights are the base and core of copyright. Detailed analysis and classification of the impediments to personal rights in editing will greatly draw the periodical editors＇ attention to it. The author of this paper suggests that the periodical editors earnestly study The Law of Copyright and the regulations concerned, strenghten their awareness of the copyright law, eliminate the act of tort and avoid the disputes over copyright in order to protect and show due respect to personal rights.
