Chinese experts have been surprised to find that more than 1,000 traditional games had survived in China by the end of the 20th century.Of these,some 700 are still popular among people of the country’s 55 ethnic minority groups.Traditional ethnic games are carriers of ethnic histories,religious beliefs and artistic pursuits while mirroring the life and folkways with distinct ethnic characteristics.
