摘要
在基于IEEE 802.11的宽带无线局域网中,随着终端STA的接入、移动和无线信道的时变性,各个接入点(AP)的负载将会产生差异,需要负载均衡优化机制平衡各个AP的差异,以达到网络资源的最大利用率。详细讨论了无线局域网中用到的几种负载均衡机制,分析了各自的优缺点,结合这些特点给出一种新的负载均衡机制。该机制能较准确地统计终端业务信息,降低切换失败风险,快速达到APs之间的负载均衡,优化提高网络整体性能。
In the wireless local area networks based on the IEEE 802.11, each AP' s load is different because of the accesses and movements of Stations (STAs) and the time varying of wireless channels. Load balancing is required to balance the diversity of access points (APs) to maximize utilization of network resource. This paper provided a comprehensive study of different load balancing mechanisms, then gave a novel load balancing mechanism. This mechanism can exactly collect statistical traffic information of stations, reduce risk of handoff failure, achieve load balance of APs rapidly, and improve performance of the whole network.
