On its reflection and transcendence over itself, translation is unexpectedly found to be rooted in a non-fundamental existence. What it concerns with is not only a deconstructive attitude towards the essentialism and author-centrism of traditional translation study, but also an existentially embodied understanding towards translation, which inherently follows a way of existentialism. This mode of thought, while subverting the sameness typical of "fidelity" and "equivalence", surprisingly drags translation into the self-consciousness of "dasein" in terms of ontology.
