The paper introduces the basic principles and characteristics of the Confocal Scanning Laser Microiscope（CSLM）, Scanning Electron Microscope（SEM） and the Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope（ESEM） and also discusses the application of those techniques in the analysis of biofilm structure, morphological character and microorganism distributing.
