On the Sources of Contents in Jingdianshiwen

《经典释文》为唐代陆德明总结东汉南北朝以降经学家音义汇释的集大成之作。这部规制宏大的著作之中,其资料来源未必全为陆德明个人汇集。从古代文献著录、《经典释文》的内部体例以及同时代相关学者的著录资料来看,其中有借鉴前人音义汇释著作的痕迹。

Jingdianshiwen is a great glossary of ancient phonology materials from late East Han to Sui Dynasty which was mainly compiled by the famous ancient scholar Lu Deming. And it can be believed that Lu Deming was not the only contributor who collected all contents. The marks that showed Lu borrowed some materials from others can be traced to the ancient philological bibliopoly, the internal compiling principle in the works of other scholars who lived in the same period.
