Along with the openness and internationalization of financial industry, Chinese commercial banks have to compete in global market. What factors will lead these commercial banks up to the international operation？ The answer is not very clear. This paper analyzes the international operation of commercial banks in China with respect to theory and practice after summarizing previous research about it.
