Structural Characteristics of Chinese Expressions of Motion Event

关于现代汉语运动事件表达的结构特征,语言学界一直存在争议。有学者(Tai,2003)认为它是一种动词框架语言,也有人(Talmy,2000)认为它是一种卫星框架语言,最近有人(Slobin,2004)还提出它属于第三种类型——同等框架类型语言。首先回顾了动词框架语言和卫星框架语言的定义和特征,对英汉运动事件框架表达方式的特点进行了对比,并从认知语言学事件框架概念的角度分析了现代汉语运动事件框架表达的特征。

There exist disputes on the structural characteristics of Chinese expressions of motion event. Tai （2003） thinks Chinese is a verb frame language, Talmy （2000） considers it a satellite frame language, and Slobin （2004） thinks it is equivalent frame language. This paper briefly reviews the definitions and characteristics of the verb frame language and satellite frame language, compares the characteristics of the expressions of motion event between English and Chinese, and analyzes the characteristics of Chinese expressions of motion event from the perspective of cognitive linguistics.
