I. Chinese rare earth import et export status in 2007 China further strengthened regulations on import Et export of rare earth products in 2007. Firstly, NDRC changed the guidance for rare earth production from guiding plan into mandatory plan at the year beginning. Secondly, the Ministry of Commerce further increased the export tax for rare earth products and enlarged the range of rare earth products to be imposed export tariff.
