To study the regularities of tongue presentations、gastrofiberscopic diagnosis、pathologic diagnosis and Hp infection.240 patients with gastroduodenal diseases were observed by naked eye and recorded with videotapes at the same time.The conclusions were drawn after repeated broadcast of the videotapes and discussing together.As a result,those patients with normal or light edema gastric mucosa and less than 100/Hp interstitial inflammatory cells in lamina propria mainly showed pink tongues with thin and white furs,while those with congestive、bleeding、erosive mucosa、more than 100/Hp interstitial inflammatory cells、polymorphonuclear infiltration and adenoepithelial degeneration and necroses mainly showed red or bright red tongues with greasy thick and yellowish furs.Normal or light edema gastric mucosa and the lowest infective rate of Hp (24%) were always observed in patients with normal tongues,while congestive、bleeding、erosive gastric mucosa or ulceration and the highest infective rate of Hp(77%)were always seen in those with bright red tongues with greasy thick and yellowish furs.
