人的自由发展是指人作为主体的自觉、自愿、自主的发展,是为了自身人格完善和促进社会进步而发展,是把人作为目的而发展。人的全面发展是指建立在社会生产力和生产关系高度发展的基础上的人类特性、社会关系、需要和个性的整体发展。人的自由发展与人的全面发展是辩证统一的关系。它们互为前提、互为条件、相互促进。我们认识人的自由发展和全面发展的辩证统一关系,应该从历史的角度,把它看作逐步提高、不断推进和永无止境的历史过程。
