传统社会中,在两性关系上倡导"男尊女卑"、"夫为妻纲"的伦理道德规范,这使得女性一生都处于卑下的从属地位。鸦片战争后,伴随着社会结构的根本性变化,人们关于男女角色的观念也发生了巨大的变化,对传统的男尊女卑观念进行了猛烈的抨击,这大大促进了女性的觉醒。随着改革开放的不断深入,女性投身到家庭以外的社会领域,其自身价值得到了进一步的实现与提高,从而为保障人身与人格的独立提供了现实的经济基础。

The traditional advocacy of the ethical value of ＂the superiority of male and the inferiority of female＂ and ＂the superiority of husband over his wife＂ made the female＇s life in a subordinate position. After the Opium War, along with the fundamental changes in social structure, people＇s concept of the role of men and women has undergone a great change, and the traditional patriarchal social system was very much under attack, which contributed greatly to the awakening of feminism. With the continuous deepening of reform and opening policy, women began to work outside, and their personal value has been realized and improved. This has safeguarded the economic foundation for their personality independence.
