While Dubliners is usually regarded as a collection of realistic tradition, this paper focuses primarily on its narrative strategies, namely, the extensive use of the first person and the third person limited point of view, the frequent shifts among different points of view, and the manipulation of narrator's voice, to demonstrate that a detached narration is employed in the work, which is one of the core features of modernist novel.
