Abstract:In this paper, a novel type of finishing technology - foam finish system is summarized.The concept of foam, foaming materials, foam - forming methods, the preparation of foamfinish, and the application of foam finish are discussed. Compared with traditional finishing,foam finish has the advantages of less or no air pollution, decreased consumption of chemicalsand energy. Foam finished leather has a pleasant soft handle, good embossing property, andcan cover the grain defects effectively.
