《到十九好房间》的女主人翁苏珊.罗林斯是一位具有强烈的女性自我意识,渴望独立与自由的现代知识女性。但在这个以男性为中心的父权制社会禁锢压抑着她自由独立的意识,使她不可避免地陷入痛苦绝望的深渊,最终也是导致她死亡悲剧的根本原因。
The protagonist Susan Rawlings in To Room Nineteen was a woman who had a strong female consciousness and longed for freedom and independence. However, in that patriarch society, she was confined by her independent sense which resulted in her final tragic death.
