摘要
本研究考察叙事语篇标题启动条件对不同阅读能力的中国英语学习者即时主题推理加工的影响。研究按照2(阅读技能)×3(标题启动条件)因子设计,采用阅读时间法,以简短的叙事语篇为实验材料,以反应时为主要指标。结果表明:(1)叙事语篇标题启动条件存在显著主效用;(2)阅读技能不存在显著主效用;(3)语篇标题启动条件与阅读技能间的交互作用不显著。
This study was designed to explore the effects of titles on skilled and less skilled Chinese EFL readers' on-line thematic in- ference-making processes during narrative text comprehension. The design was 2 (reading skill) x 3 (title priming condition) factorial. Response latencies were the main index, and brief narrative passages were used as stimulus materials in the experiment in which the reading time method was employed. The results of the investigation reveal a significant main effect of titles. However, there is no significant main effect of reading skill. And the interaction of title priming condition and reading skill was not statistically significant.
