Prospect of US-DPRK Relationship and China's Strategic Choice in Establishing Northeast Asian Security Mechanism

美朝关系的发展趋势直接关系到东北亚安全格局的形成。就目前东北亚各国关系的发展态势来看,朝核问题有望得到某种程度的解决。在东北亚构建新安全环境的形势下,东亚各国间由于历史与现实的差异,彼此间的不和谐因素不易消除。在未来相当长的一段时期里,虽然东北亚合作的"政冷经热"现象可能还会持续,但这并不意味着东北亚一体化的进程就会停滞不前。中国应继续贯彻和执行与邻为善的周边外交方针,促进东北亚一体化的形成。

The trend of US-DPRK relationship will directly affect the formation of the Northeast Asian security pattern.Now,the North Korean nuclear issue that has confronted countries in the Northeast Asia for a long time will hopefully become a history.However,due to historical and practical differences,the elements of conflicts among Northeast Asian countries are not easy to be eliminated,and the phenomenon of 'politically cold and economically hot' in the sub-regional cooperation in Northeast Asia will possibly continue for a long period of time in the future.But this certainly does not mean the advancement of the Northeast Asian integration will be bogged down.China should continue to implement the peripheral diplomatic policy of 'being friendly with neighbors' and promote the integration in the Northeast Asia.
