摘要 介绍了一种具有数制转换功能的LED数码管显示控制器的设计。用VHDL描述了整个设计结构,并在Altera公司的Cyclone EP2C5T144C8器件上实现了该数码管显示控制器。该显示控制器具有二进制(BIN)码与二-十进制(BCD)码转换功能,转换电路具有结构简单、模块性好、易于扩展、转换速度高等特点。同时显示控制器有多种工作模式;可以最多控制8位7段LED数码管的显示或者64个单独的发光二极管;利用数控脉宽调制电路实现32级灰度控制。 A design of 7-segment numeric light emitting diode (LED) display driver with BIN and BCD converter was proposed. The structure of the driver was expressed by VHDL, and it was implemented in EP2CSTI44C8. The converter between BIN and BCD was designed based on a new shifted-based algorithm. The driver has high converting speed and simple structure. It has several work modes, can drive 8 digits or 64 individual LEDs. Digital control of display brightness is provided by a pulse-width modulator.
