This paper introduces the overall structure and function of the self-developed automatic wash basin for CRH2 200 km/h EMUs and states its technical characteristics and research scheme. The emphasis lays on technology innovation of the automatic wash basin. The developing ofASR8-1 automatic wash basin for CRH2 EMUs has achieved the goal of domesticalization of automatic wash basin, which ensures the comfortable and advantageous usage of EMUs.
