China and the 1926 Philadelphia World Expo

1926年美国费城世界博览会,在军阀孙传芳的积极倡导下,我国商界筹备并参加了此次世博会,取得了不俗的成绩。但是,在世博会上,国人更多感受到的都是外国经济、文化和科技发展的迅猛之势。通过参加此次费城世博会,当时国人看到了自己的不足并从中总结出六条最重要的教训,这些都为以后参加世博会提供了很好的借鉴。

At the World Exposition held in 1926 in Philadelphia, America, the business group of China prepared for and participated in the Exposition under the actively initiation of the warlord, Sun Chuan-fang. They also achieved excellent results at the Exposition. The Chinese of that era also became acquainted with the rapid development of western countries in-economy, culture and technology at the Exposition. Besides, the Chinese of that ear summarized six important rules, all of which have provided valuable experience for the subsequent attending of World Exposition.
