西瓜新品种菊城20早的选育

An early maturing watermelon F_1 hybrid——Jucheng 20 Zao

菊城20早是开封市农林科学研究院最新育成的花皮、圆果、高产、优质早熟西瓜新品种。植株长势稳健,抗病抗逆性强,坐果性好。全生育期95d左右,果实发育期28d左右。皮厚1.0cm,果皮韧性好,不裂果;瓤红质脆,中心可溶性固形物含量10%～11%;单果重4～5kg,667m2产量3000kg以上。其母本具有全缘叶标记性状。2008年4月通过河南省农作物品种审定委员会审定。

Jucheng 20 Zao is a new F1 hybrid watermelon with early maturity. The total growing period is about 95 days and the fruit development period is about 25 days. It produces vigorous plant ,has resistance to diseases and sets fruit easily. The fruit is globe shaped with dark green narrow stripes. The rind is about 1.0 cm and is durable. The flesh is red, crisp and has about 10%-11% soluble solid contents. The average fruit weight is 4-5 kg and the yield is 3 000 kg per 667 m^2. The nonlobed leaf of female parent is a seedling marker for hybrid purity test.
