摘要 文章详细地介绍了Swain的输出假设理论的基本思想、功能与模式,并以语言输出活动之一的任务型教学法为例,说明了此理论在实际教学里面的运用情况以及影响。 This article introduces Merrill Swain' s Output Hypothesis in terms of its basic claims, functions, and modeling strategies for second language learning. Taking one of the output-based activities, Task-based Teaching Approach, as example, the article illustrates the application of Output Hypothesis in the foreign language teaching, and then summarizes its implication for foreign language teaching in China.
