图书馆文化哲学作为一门学科或一个研究方向,它以文化为视角,在人类文化发展的历史过程中审视和理解作为文化现象的图书馆。图书馆文化哲学开辟了图书馆哲学研究的新视角,从根本上改变了传统图书馆哲学学科定位过于狭隘从而制约其发展的不足。阐述图书馆文化哲学内涵与特征,分析图书馆文化哲学产生的社会历史因素,指出图书馆文化哲学研究的理论意义与现实价值。

Library cultural philosophy as a discipline or a research direction--View from the culture, has thought rationally about the library which is a cultural phenomenon in course of history of human culture. Library cultural philosophy opens up a new field of vision in the research of library philosophy. It will change fundmentally the narrow orientation which limits the development of library philosophy, expounds connotation and characteristics of library cultural philosophy, analyzes the social and historical factors in the formation of library cultural philosophy, points out theoretical meaning and realistic value of library cultural philosophy.
