中国帕米尔高原位于新疆西南部,主要包括塔什库尔干县和阿克陶县的大部分地区及乌恰县南部的部分地区。经采集、鉴定,目前帕米尔高原约有种子植物963种(包括变种),归59科303属;其中裸子植物3科3属12种,被子植物56科300属951种。该区种子植物具有如下特征:中小科属数量丰富,属分化强烈,属种比值偏高;区系成分以北温带成分为主的温带成分占主导地位,热带成分极其微弱;生活型以地面芽植物占优势,含有相当比例的一二年生和高位芽植物;生态类型以旱生中生植物为主,兼有寒冷生及水生和湿生植物。

There were about 963 plant species classified into 59 families and 303 genera in the Pamirs plateau of china. In which there were gymnosperm 3 families 3 genera 12 species and dominant angiosperm 56 families 300 genera 951 species. The characterstics of seed plants were as follows：Rich in plants of small and middle specie families, obvious genera polarization, higher ratio of genera and species; From the analysis of genera,dominant of the north temperate composition; few of tropical composition; Dominant of hemicryptophytes in the life form, companying with phanerophytes and therophytes; Main ecotype of xerophyte and mesophyte, and part ecotype of hygrophyte and helophyte.
