Discourse coherence is a concept of multi-dimension or multi-level, which is exhibited at least as formal cohesion, pragmarie consistency and cognitive relevance. These factors should be respected when interpreting a discourse, and therefore discourse coherence should be analyzed from multi-angles. ICQ discourse has its own characteristics such as its unique messaging system. The persons, who engage in online communication, should recognize these characteristics, take corresponding measures to establish discourse coherence and achieve effective online communication.
