群众性演讲活动,是指群众广泛参与的以传播知识、增进交流、自我教育为主要目的的社会活动。群众性演讲活动具有宣传推动、教育引导和人才培养三大功能,而这三个功能又是紧密相连的。我们应当充分认识、高度重视群众性演讲活动的功能,使其在中国特色社会主义伟大事业的建设中发挥出重大而积极的作用。

The activity of mass lecture refers to the social activity participated by populace in order to spread knowledge, promote exchange and the self - education as the main purpose. It has three functions ： that are the propaganda impetus, the education guidance and the personnel training, but these three functions are also connected closely. We must understand and pay attention to them to enable them to play significant and the positive role in the great Chinese socialism construction.
