摘要
椰棕扁叶甲(Brontispa longissma)为害棕榈科多种植物,例如椰子、王棕、日本葵等。成虫和幼虫群栖卷摺心叶和未开展新叶内为害,取食叶肉留下表皮和大量虫粪,新叶开展后呈焦黄状,日久整株枯死。剪除受害心叶和新叶,在剪口处喷注马拉松1:1000倍液,可杀死大部分成虫和幼虫,每月一次连续多次使用可根治其害。
Palm heart leaf miner(Brontispa longissima Gestro)feeding on the Palmae, eg.Cocos nucifera L.,Roytonea regia,Phoenix roebelenii,etc.The adults and the larvae colo- nize on the new folded leaves and the unfolding heart leaves,eat up the fleshy part of leaves and left the epiderm and lots of feces.This causes yellowish and burnt appearance of the newly extending leaves,and the palm will die after a period of time.Most of the adults and larvae can be killed by cutting off the damaged new leaves and heart leaves and then spraying with Malathion of 1:1000 around the cuts area.To spray pesticide once monthly for some months will even stop its recurrences.
