清后期吴中著名藏书家潘祖荫既是饱学学者,又是对社会非常负责任的官员。他在政务之暇非常重视刻书、收藏。

In this article, the author deliberates a famous book collector Pan Zuyin, who lived in the late Qing Dynasty. Pan Zuyin is a learned scholar; moreover, he is an officer with social responsibility. At leisure time, he puts emphasis on books＇ block-printing and collecting.
