角膜内皮细胞的研究早在19世纪就开始了,近年来各种新设备和技术的应用使人们对角膜内皮损伤的进一步研究成为可能,对角膜内皮损伤的病理、愈合的过程、修复机制也有了更深刻的认识。很多疾病、手术、外伤、药物、激光以及先天性疾病等都可以对角膜细胞产生很大的影响。它们可以引起角膜内皮细胞水肿、细胞数量减少、多形性变化。

Corneal endothelial cell research began as early as the 19th century. In recent years, with new equipment and technology applications, it is possible for us to carry out further study on the corneal endothelium injury and get more profound understanding on pathology of corneal endothelium damage, the process of healing, and repair mechanism. Many diseases, surgery, trauma, drugs, laser and congenital diseases, and so on can affect corneal cells greatly. These factors may cause corneal endothelial cells edema, decrease in the number of cells, polymorphonuclear changes.
