摘要
Thomas Aquinas is usually regarded as an intellectualist, because his ethics has a strong intellectualistic flavor. However,we only notice that his ethical philosophy is intellectualism, ignore the fact that his ethical theology is also intellectualism.Intelllectualism is equally presented in both his ethical philosophy and ethical theology,it provides the connection between the two areas. The purpose of this paper tries to explore the intellectualism in his ethics.Given the fact that Aquinas’s ethics is a giant system,we will concentrate on the issues of ethical subjects, ethical action, reason and will, virturlism, teleology, and theory of happiness in his ethics, and the relation between Thomasian and Aristotelian ethics.
