曹丕苛禁宗室政策不断受到儒家政治哲学的批评,成为后人指责其无友于之情的口实,并将其作为曹魏速亡的主要原因。但若进行实事求是的分析,则该政策的实施乃为当时政治形势使然,是经过长期酝酿和政治考量而推行的稳定统治的措施。

Cao Pi＇s severe restriction of imperial clan＇ s involvement with politics has been harshly criticized by later Confucian scholars, and has been used as a pretense for accusing him of murdering his brother Cao Zhi, and has been taken as the cause for the quick fall of the Wei reign of the Cao clan. But in fact Cao Pi＇s policy of restricting the royal clan from taking part in political affairs was a necessary and stabilizing measure to ensure the rule.
