信息社会的今天，地理信息系统在高校信息管理领域发挥着愈来愈重要的作用。本文介绍了北京建工学院电子地图开发的前期工作──空间数据库和属性数据库的建立，着重介绍其硬、软件环境、建立过程以及功能特点。

In the modern information society, Geographic Information System plays more and more important role in the field of information management in colleges. This paper in-troduces the former work of the electronic map＇s development of BICEA——the establishmeat of the spatial and attribute database. And it emphatically introduces the hardware and software environment, the process of establishment and the database＇s func-tions and features.
