翻译不是单纯的语符转换,翻译具有非常重要的社会功能,这就决定了它跟意识形态之间必然存在着密切的关系。本文以严复的翻译为例证明意识形态影响着译者选择翻译材料、决定翻译策略、影响翻译结果。

Translation is not merely a linguistic-symbolic transformation,but has a very important social function which results in the close relationship between ideology and translation.With Yanfu＇s translation as an example,this paper illustrates the influence of ideology on the choice of materials、techniques and results of translation.
