高职院校办学特色是在长期的办学实践中所形成的与众不同的风格和景象，其基本属性体现在它的独特性、价值性、稳定性、创新性等方面。决定高职院校发展指标强弱的是办学特色，而不是办学规模的大小。办学特色是高职院校核心发展力的重要元素之一。
The school-running characteristics of higher vocational schools is the unique style and vision formed during long-term school-running practice, and its basic attributes manifest in the aspects of pecu- liarity, worthiness, stability and innovation, which is the factor that decide the development degree of higher vocational schools and important factor of core development abilities of higher vocational schools.
