摘要 美国时间凌晨3点,每隔45秒钟就会有一架UPS的货机从美国路易斯维尔的“世界港”起飞或降落。“世界港”是UPS全球最大的包裹处理中心,它在4小时内要处理来自100多架飞机和160多辆卡车的100多万件包裹,而紧邻“世界港”的就是UPS供应链解决方案集团。 The enterprises need a more fast and eff icient supply chain than ever. For some enterprises, the marginal prof it is only 3% or 4%. So if the cost of the supply chain decreases 5%, the prof it margin will double. Moreover, the eff icient tool of supply chain management helps the enterprises predict the change, and making a better decision. As we know, reducing the carriage or raising the productivity can increase the value of the supply chain. But here are more chances to create new value. For instance, improving the service, developing new market, and cutting down the inventory and the investment... a perfect strategy of global producing and delivery can minimize the tax expenditure, and help the enterprises discern the change of business and make the decisions to win. Therefore, as a third party distribution supplier, the prof it of UPS increased 20% in past ten years. What did UPS do? And what can Chinese enterprises get from its experience?
