关于《现代大学英语》中的文化内容分析

On Cultural Content in Contemporary College English

以语言与文化的关系为理论基础,指出文化在英语教学中发挥着很重要的作用。为了使英语教学实践更有成果,在分析《现代大学英语》中文化信息的基础上,从文化教学的角度提出了三点建议。认为在教学过程中应着重培养学习者的文化洞察力和跨文化意识,目的语及其文化应被视为向学习者展示的一片新天地,并利用其与学习者母语文化的对比为学习者创造出一个认知成长和文化素养提升的空间。

Based on the relationship between language and culture, the paper points out that culture plays an important role in English language teaching. In order to conduct English teaching practice more effectively and fruitfully, from the perspective of cultural teaching the author puts forward three suggestions based on the analysis of cultural information in Contemporary College English. The author believes that the cultivation of learners＂ cultural insight and cross-cultural awareness should be emphasized, that the target language and culture should be viewed as a new world to be shown to learners, and that the clashes and conflicts between learners＂ native culture and foreign culture are used to create contexts in which learners＂ cognitive growth and personality development are initiated.
