摘要
社会对学生英语能力的需要已呈多元化、专业化趋势。不论从理论上还是从现实的需要上看,基于学科专业为背景的大学英语教学转型都是势在必行,而且也是突破目前大学英语教学困境的有效途径。以学科专业为背景的英语教学将有助于促进社会所需要的学生英语应用能力的培养和发展。
The requirements for students＇ English ability in our society have already presented various and specialized tendency. Whether theoretically or in view of realistic need, it is imperative to make the transition for college English teaching which is based on the discipline specialty . Moreover, it＇ s an effective way to break through the present English teaching predicament. English teaching which takes specialty as background will help to promote the cultivation and development of students＇ ability to use English that the society needs.
