从分析中国特色社会主义的基本特征入手,阐述了坚持中国特色的社会主义方向离不开继续坚持改革开放,改革开放是发展中国特色社会主义的动力,从坚持改革开放的中国特色社会主义方向的原因、意义、作用等三个方面,分析了坚持改革开放的中国特色的社会主义方向的客观必然性,最后就如何坚持改革开放的中国特色的社会主义方向提出了四个方面的具体途径。

Based on a comprehensive analysis of the basic features of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the paper scrutinizes the inter-relation between the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the implementation of the reform and the opening up policy. While reform and opening up are the historic trend of China＇s socialist construction, socialism with Chinese characteristics is the guideline of reform.
