A Review on the Communicative Approach in Second Language Teaching

对从1983年以来,"交际法"在第二语言教学中的应用现状进行考察,阐释了交际法的特征、交际法的教学原则,交际法与其他教学法流派的比较,交际法在第二语言教学中的应用,交际法在实践过程中出现的问题及解决方法,交际法与测试研究、教材编写、教师素质等之间的关系。

This paper reviews the application of the communicative approach in second language teaching since 1983. It also discusses several issues related to the communicative approach in second language teaching, including the characteristics and principles of communicative approach. It made a comparison between the communicative approach and other teaching method. The issues concerned the application of communicative approach, the relationship between the communicative approach and the test research, teaching material compilation and the quality of teacher are also studied in this paper .
