本轮国际粮价上涨始于2002年，2006年下半年开始加速，仅2007年即上涨42％，2008年前两个月更是上涨83％。玉米、大豆等可用于生物能源或粮食加工的品种价格持续上涨，大米等基础消费品种的价格也开始飙升。全球37个国家陷入严重的粮荒，20余国采取奖进限出措施，1亿人口返贫，粮食危机已成为国际社会面临的严峻挑战。
This round of price hikes in global grain started from 2002. Only prices in 2007 rose by 42% and even more by 83% in the first 2 months of 2008.
The outbreak of food crisis remains complications concentrating many deep-rooted contradictions with the slowdown of world economy growth, profoundly reflecting some structural disadvantages in current system of global economy.
