The development of applied CAPP system satisfied by enterprises is the requirement of information construction. Based on the analysis of demands and products＇ characteristics in injection mold enterprises, a CAPP system for injection mold is developed. In this system the flexibility of process planning and the inheritance of experience are fully taken into account. Supported by databases and knowledge bases based on open structure several functions such as product structure management, process planning, process management and user management are achieved.The quality and efficiency of process planning for injection mold will be improved by this CAPP system.
