在鲁迅的小说中不断出现一种类似"公共领域"的公众场所。故事中的人物在这些场所交谈争论,传播各种信息,形成一种类似"公共领域"的现象。这些"公共领域"是愚人和庸众云集的地方,他们的言论既荒唐、愚昧,又残忍可怕,先驱和弱者在这里被迫害,被嘲笑,被奚落。鲁迅借此表达了他对保守、落后的社会及国民的愤怒和绝望。

There are always some public places which are like a kind of public sphere in Lu Xun＇ s novels. The persons in these stories talk and dispute in these places, communicating various kinds of information, forming some kinds of public sphere. In these public sphere, the participants are snobbish and unequal,the fool and mediocre people gathering here, their speech is absurdity, ignorance,cruel and terrible, the pioneers and the weak persons are persecuted and jeered here. Lu Xun expressed his anger and despair to the conservative, unenlightened society and people in his novels.
