In order to reduce and prevent the crane accidents, after a deep analysis of the safety acci- dents caused by equipment defect factors such as bad maintenance of brake, mechanism or safety device, or bad components; by management factors such as relaxed inspection of crane rail - line, non-in-time main-tenance of damaged equipment, bad or relaxed operation, or shortage of safety measures; by operation factors such as bad-understanding of hazard of operating modern cranes, operator with non-professional training or old age, or one crane operated by many operators;and by factors of environment change, some pertinent advice is given for improving the design and fabrication process, equipping reliable safety device, simplifying operation, improving maintenance, and increasing safety education ＆ technical training.
