英语介词属于虚词,而且数量庞大,用法灵活,往往不易被理解和翻译。大多数介词一词多义且多用,没有固定的译法,所以需要根据其基本意义联系上下文灵活处理。转译、增译、省译、反译和分译可以作为英语介词汉译的新尝试。

English prepositions are form words, which are of large quantity in number and great variety in use, so that they are difficult to understand and translate. To translate English prepositions into Chinese, context, the basic meaning of the prepositions and Chinese grammar have to be taken into consideration. Five methods are introduced to translate English prepositions into Chinese.
