This paper introduces the serial communication standards, and proposes Serial Communication Design plan based on embedded soft core processor of NlOS II. Based on NIOS II Environment, we focus on the implementation of communication between serial port of NIOS II and serial port of PC computer, and describe the implementation of serial port communication software and on the PC.
